Quick Update

Scott has been flying 2 to 3 times a week towards his instrument rating, and is still on track to finish it by the end of the year (hopefully!) It's made for some long days between working full-time and flying but he's happy to at least have time to fly again, which he hasn't had since before we moved to Louisiana.

Renee has been sick since last Sunday but is now finally on the mend, so not much has been going on with her at all.

We're looking forward to Eric and Katie visiting over Thanksgiving, just one month away!

West Virginia

Scott was in West Virginia for a few days this week. The trees in San Antonio are still green and it's still pretty summer-like here so he got to enjoy some cooler weather and more fall-like scenery.

Bridget Update: She seems to be fine now...she's eating and acting normally so she must have gotten over whatever she had. Just treating her symptoms worked this time. Lucky for her...

Bridget's Sick Again

Bridget quit eating Sunday morning and has been lethargic and mopey ever since. So today, Renee took her to the vet. We again have special food, medication, and this time she got an injection of something, but really no clear idea of what's wrong with her. If this doesn't work within the next couple days we have to take her back for Phase Two, which is blood work and tests. We'll continue until she either a.) gets better or b.) reaches her "lifetime maximum" (much like the way health insurance works, although Bridget's is much, much lower) and thus the end of her road.

Just kidding about the "end of her road" part.

Presidential Visit

President Bush was in San Antonio today for a private fundraiser and then he also visited a couple local businesses to talk about the bailout. Scott was lucky enough to see Air Force One come in, and the presidential motorcade went right past Valero's hangar.
